Community Spotlight - Tatjana Holjević
GLOBE teacher Tatjana Holjević is rightfully proud of her three students from the Medical High School in Rijeka, Croatia, who took third place in the 2013 GLOBE Student Research Exhibition. The students presented their project "Water Quality and Revitalization Potential of the Mrtvi Kanal Channel" at the GLOBE Annual Meeting.  >>

Air Quality Collaboration with GLOBE France
GLOBE France will be hosting a teacher workshop September 27-29, 2013. This workshop will focus on air quality with a special emphasis on Black Carbon. GLOBE Master Trainers, Lin Chambers and Jessica Taylor, from NASA Langley Research Center, will present via Skype to the teachers. Chambers will lead discussions on Aerosols- including how to observe Sky Conditions and some of the latest research in aerosol instruments. Taylor will lead a discussion on surface ozone observations and share the latest information on new instrument possibilities.Air Quality Collaboration with GLOBE France  >>

Texas Students Make Science Lessons a Global Affair
"On Friday night, when most high school students in Tyler, Texas, were going home from a football game, three girls in Hawkins had a different plan. Allyson Edwards, Hope Hughes and Madison Jaco, all Hawkins High School students, intended to Skype students in India to talk about research," writes Emily Guevara of the Tyler Morning Star Newspaper in Tyler, Texas.
