U.S. GLOBE Teachers and Partners: The 2022-2023 season of Watercoolers is starting up once again in September. Watercoolers are held most Thursdays, at 04:10 p.m. EST. They provide an informal opportunity to connect with other GLOBE teachers and partners to share ideas. Each week begins with a presentation from a teacher or partner, with time for questions and conversation following.  >>

The GLOBE North American Regional Meeting (NARM) is held every year to bring together members of the U.S. GLOBE community to learn and share ideas. Due to the continuing constraints of COVID-19, as well as ensuring the event is accessible to all GLOBE partners regardless of funding, the NARM will be presented in a different format this year.  >>

Educators and Pre-service Teachers: Earn a $100 stipend for contributing to the GLOBE and Natural Inquirer Crosswalk Project. The GLOBE U.S. Coordination Office is working in partnership with the USDA Forest Service to show connections between Natural Inquirer readers for students and GLOBE protocols, learning activities, and story books. Connections can be shown through a blog post or other format that you would use in your classroom or educational setting.  >>

The Trees Around the GLOBE Student Research Campaign will be hosting the webinar: “Focusing on Students and Educators as They Prepare for Year 5 of the Campaign and the 2023 GLOBE International Virtual Science Symposium (IVSS): Featuring Highlights from the U.S. Forest Service’s Tree Canopy Cover Layer and U.S. Tree Mapping and Monitoring; Focus: North America.” on Tuesday, 16 August, at 01:00 p.m. EDT (05:00 p.m. UTC).  >>

Tip of the Week: The GLOBE Program is engaged in an extensive effort to update pages on the website to help ensure overall accuracy, ease-of-use, and optimum comprehension and communication.  >>

During the 2022 GLOBE Annual Meeting, which took place virtually from 25-28 July, participants were invited to take part in some playful competition! Participants could maximize their event experience by completing engagement activities for points – and could then watch their place on the “leaderboard” climb.  >>

The GLOBE Mission Mosquito (GMM) webinar, “Pro Tips” will be held on Thursday, 11 August, at 02:00 p.m. EDT (06:00 p.m. UTC).  >>
