Join the October Climate and Land Cover Project!
It's time for another Intensive Observing Period of land cover! Scientists need your help collecting land cover data during the month of October. Participation is simple – conduct the GLOBE Land Cover Sample Site Protocol including MUC code and photographs of the site and enter your data into the GLOBE database. That's it! Collect and enter data anytime during 1 - 31 October.  >>

GLOBE Xpedition - Returning to the Roof of Africa
From 22 September to 1 October 2011, GLOBE students are invited to become virtual, online participants in the third Xpedition to Mt. Kilimanjaro. For the third time, a GLOBE Africa research expedition comprised of GLOBE students, alumni and scientists will scale the largest mountain on the African continent. Their purpose is to conduct experiments, document the shifting biomes and shrinking glaciers, and share this remarkable experience online with those who want to travel and learn along with them  >>

GLOBE Partners Contribute to Earth Exploration Toolbook
GLOBE Partners Todd Ensign, NASA Education and Technology Specialist, and Kevin Czajkowski, of the University of Toledo, Ohio, have developed a chapter focused on the urban heat island (UHI) effect using GLOBE Student Surface Temperature data, and the My World GIS program in the The Earth Exploration Toolbook.  >>
