Happy Fall! This is certainly not the typical beginning of the academic year we had hoped for, but I hear amazing things about GLOBE teachers across the country making it work remotely, through in-person hybrids and for some, completely in-person. I hope you find little tidbits here that you can use.  Stay safe and stay well friends!

Resources that came skidding across my desk (aka my dining room table) this month:

Partner News

• NASA Langley and My NASA Data were highlighted in NASA news.
• On 17 September 2020, several of the SciAct GLOBE Partners gave a webinar on “GLOBE Investigations with NASA” in support of the IVSS. The Partners represented IGES, Boston University, University of Toledo, NASA Langley, WestEd/UC Berkeley, Tennessee State University, and University of Alaska Fairbanks.  
• Garry Harris, Center for Sustainable Communities, was on a Weather Channel September 13^th AMHQ broadcast discussing "greening our churches, greening our communities, sustainability and severe weather."
• Christi Buffington, University of Alaska Fairbanks, was invited by Andrew Minigan to present on the Right Question Institute Question Formulation Technique. She’s used this technique with GLOBE students, former middle and high school students, undergrads, participants at the GLOBE virtual meeting in the Frost Tube webinar, and UAF faculty/staff. Question Formulation on the Fly: Engaging Faculty, Undergrads, and Youth Webinar with the Right Question Institute on 28 September 2020, 1 PM ET.

 US Regional GLOBE Student Research Symposia (SRS)

• The 2019 SRS Evaluation materials (full reports, 6-page executive summary, and the Watercooler presentation) are now available on our new SRS Publications page.
• On 17 September 2020, there was a Watercooler for Partners and teachers to discuss the 2021 SRS or ideas for replacement activities. Ideas were posted to a Padlet.
