Join GLOBE Partner Larisa Schelkin, Global STEM Education Center, Inc., and hear about GLOBE and Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) from the perspectives of the UN Global Environmental Outlook and science diplomacy (science-based decision making) – and how to bring these ideas into your classroom.  >>

Join Steve Phelps and Elizabeth Joyner as they build from the first Watercooler, where they demonstrated how to pull data from My NASA Data's Earth System Data Explorer into Google Sheets, then into Desmos for analysis. During this second session, we will jump right into data analysis with the data of your choice into a hands-on working session. Bring your own spreadsheet of a dataset and come ready to explore and we’ll provide the guidance!  >>

This week, Steve Phelps, Instructional Technology Consultant in Ohio, will share about Desmos and Desmos Activities; how they are being used by math teachers and others; and thoughts on how we could create math lessons using the My NASA Data data sets. Elizabeth Joyner, NASA Langley, will introduce My NASA Data and be available for questions!  >>

This week join a conversation with Parter Forum member Sarah Nern, Purdue University, about teaching an authentic STEM lesson using the GLOBE Tree Height app. One of the takeaways from this lesson is demystifying technology so that it is no longer a black box.  >>
