Three GLOBE Regions Send Students to the University of Texas at Tyler for Student Research Symposium
Sixty-eight students from seven schools from Connecticut, Louisiana, and Texas visited the University of Texas at Tyler on 19 and 20 May for the Southwest, Southeast, and Northeast & Mid-Atlantic Student Research Symposium. Attending from seven schools, the students presented 21 projects highlighting their research using GLOBE protocols and data.  >>

2023 GLOBE Midwest Student Research Symposium
The University of Wisconsin-Madison hosted the GLOBE (Global Learning and Observations to Benefit the Environment) Midwest Student Research Symposium (SRS) from 21-23 April 2023 in Madison, Wisc. Forty-seven students from grades 5-12 from Michigan, Ohio and Wisconsin presented their research projects to 12 judges.  >>

Educators and Students Weather the Storm in Support of NASA's IMPACTS Mission
This January and February, educators and their students from 11 sites in five states and one Canadian province collected measurements of snow (or rainfall) accumulations. They were participating in Mission SnowGLOBE, a GLOBE intensive observation period in support of the NASA IMPACTS mission.  >>

Celebrate Earth Day with GLOBE!
Earth Day is GLOBE’s anniversary and founding, which is a cause for celebration! This year, the GLOBE Implementation Office and most schools will celebrate Earth Day on Friday, 21 April. We invite you to join in as we celebrate through our annual online event on 21 April at 9 a.m. Mountain Time. The livestream will be available through the GLOBE Earth Day webpage. We know many of you are planning your own activities to celebrate Earth Day. We would like to celebrate your work and highlight those events too. There are two ways to help us do this – through video and by sharing the details of your Earth Day events for posting to the GLOBE page.  >>

Students Collected GLOBE Data at Earth Heart Farms in October
Over 170 students and 12 teachers from four local school districts visited Earth Heart Farms in Ottawa County, Ohio, during the week of 10 October 2022. The students took measurements, explored science foundational concepts, and shaped their new knowledge of biology and the Farm to look at the whole system, including aspects like what contributes to the formation of significant harmful algal blooms in the western basin of Lake Erie.  >>
