During the one-hour webinar, which will be held on Thursday, 12 July (5:00 p.m. ET), participants will explore NASA STEM resources, including The GLOBE Program, Space Place, Climate Kids, NASA Wavelength, My NASA Data, Space Math, and Exploring Ice.  >>

2018 GLE Comes to a Close – A Success of Community and Global Proportions!
The 2018 GLOBE Learning Expedition (GLE), held this week in Killarney, Ireland, came to a close on Friday, 06 July. More than 400 participants from more than 35 countries launched the event with a jubilant parade through the town of Killarney. Everyone maintained high spirits despite record-breaking high temperatures and lack of rain; Killarney is now officially experiencing drought conditions!  >>

The GLOBE Data Entry App is all about making data entry easy! After an initial download of forms, you can record your measurements in the field. The app streamlines some aspects of data entry, and allows you to use your phone's camera to document your sites and measurements.  >>

GLOBE Program Tech Update
In June 2018, The GLOBE Program's website had several updates: the new Carbon Cycle Protocol was added to the Teacher’s Guide, Data Entry, and eTraining, as well as the Visualization and Advanced Data Access Tool (ADAT). The Carbon Cycle protocol asks students/teachers to enter measurement data for three types of vegetation (tree, shrubs, and herbaceous) in order to calculate carbon levels.  >>

Checked Out the New GLOBE Observer App Enhancements Yet?
The GLOBE Observer app is now enhanced with a number of new features and fixes. A recent update fixed several bugs, and reduced the download size of the app by approximately 50 percent. Additions included an "Opt-in" feature, new information links, an instruction graphic, and links that take users directly to the GLOBE Observer website and social media accounts.  >>

GISN Now Accepting Early Career STEM Professionals – Paying it Forward Made Easy!
Tip of the Week: The GLOBE International STEM Network (GISN) is now accepting early career STEM professional. This GISN subgroup will consist of members who are upper-level undergraduate or master's students pursuing a degree in a STEM field, as well as recent graduates who are working in STEM fields who have less than five years’ experience.  >>
