Still Time to Register for Upcoming GLOBE/SMAP Soil Moisture Feld Campaign Webinar: 01 March
There’s still time to register for the next GLOBE Program/SMAP webinar, which will be held on 01 March 2016 (11 a.m. ET/4 p.m. UTC), and is entitled: “Heading into the Spring Thaw and Global Shout-Outs to all the GLOBE Schools/Teams Collecting SMAP Soil Moisture Data."

Slight Date Change for 20th GLOBE Annual Meeting and Student Research Experience in Estes Park, Colorado, USA: Now 16-21 July 2016!
The dates for the 20th GLOBE Annual Meeting and Student Research Experience have changed slightly. The meeting will now begin with the opening networking reception on Saturday 16 July 2016, and will conclude mid-day on Thursday 21 July 2016. The GLOBE Working Groups will convene on Saturday 16 July 2016.

GLOBE El Niño Field Campaign Begins 01 March! Register Today for Webinars
As part of the new GLOBE El Niño Field Campaign, which will begin on Tuesday, 01 March 2016, there will be a suite of six GLOBE measurement protocols (including the SMAP protocol) that will serve as ways to identify environmental changes affected by El Niño. There will also be regular webinars to discuss the mechanics of the campaign, give updates on data collection, and explore science with experts.

The NASA SMAP Soil Moisture Field Campaign is currently underway (it began 1 October 2015), and will run through 30 April 2016. And, as of this week, 1,274 measurements have been collected!
