OhioView SATELLITES Conference 2012
The OhioView SATELLITES Conference of 2012, organized annually by GLOBE Partner Dr. Kevin Czajkowski, was held at Pena Career Center in Perrysburg, Ohio on 17 April 2012. Over 65-students from K-12 schools and universities throughout the northern Ohio area presented projects that incorporated GLOBE student data into their inquiry-based research projects. Video Competion Winners to be Announced This Month
A special thank you to everyone who entered the GLOBE video competition. Response from the community was outstanding as the GLOBE Program Office (GPO) received submissions from every region.   Currently, all video entries are being carefully reviewed and the GPO will begin notifying winners directly on 16 April.  In addition, be sure to connect with us on Facebook and YouTube as we will feature many of the submissions. Climate and Land Cover Project IOP 1-30 April
In April, the GLOBE Program asks the question: "What is the land cover type near your school and how is it changing over time?" Join other GLOBE schools that are collecting land cover data that will be used to improve land cover databases and climate models and help document how land cover is changing over time in different places all over the world.  >>

Great Global Investigation of Climate - Join in Now
The quarterly Great Global Investigation of Climate (GGIC) Intensive Observing Period (IOP) is currently underway. Students enter their temperature and precipitation data during any (or all) of the four annual IOPs. The entire month of March 2012 is one of these focused observation and data collection periods.  >>

GLOBE at Night - 13 to 22 March
GLOBE at Night is an international citizen-science campaign to raise public awareness of the impact of light pollution. GLOBE students and community members measure the brightness of the night sky and submit their observations to a website online or by smart phone.The final 2 observing periods are 13 – 22 March and 11 – 20 April.  >>
