The WestEd/CCASN Partnership for the GLOBE Program is working with 5 high schools in the Bay and Sacramento areas and 3 high schools in New Mexico. Schools participating in the California program will experience a 2-day professional development training. During the training, teachers will learn about GLOBE protocols in the following field investigation areas: atmosphere, hydrosphere and pedosphere. Teachers will also learn how to incorporate NASA resources into their curriculum. Each year teachers will assist students in the preparation of a student research project to be presented at the Pacific Student Research Symposium or the GLOBE Virtual Symposium in the spring.
