Jessica's participation in GLOBE began in 2001 as a student at Florida State University where she took regular atmosphere measurements and trained teachers through their Partnership. Now at NASA, Jessica integrates NASA science and missions into GLOBE workshops and engagement resources. As a Trainer and Mentor Trainer, Jessica enjoys working with the GLOBE Atmosphere and Biosphere protocols. Biography

Jessica Taylor is a Physical Scientist at NASA's Langley Research Center. Jessica is the lead of the Science Education Team at Langley and serves as the PI for GLOBE Clouds and My NASA Data. She coordinates an interdisciplinary team of educators, scientists, technology experts and communications specialists that collaborate with the education community to bring authentic Earth science and real-world data to learners of all ages. The GLOBE Clouds team engages students and citizen scientists internationally in science that is relevant to NASA, receiving nearly 200k observations annually. My NASA Data helps students in grades 3-12 understand the value of NASA’s Earth science datasets by providing curated educational resources aligned to standards. In 2023, My NASA Data reached over 1M digital engagements.

Jessica has worked in various formal and informal science education programs including: EXPLORES!, a satellite education program; REALM, a science outreach program for middle school girls; the Challenger Learning Center; and as a curriculum developer and professional development lead for the College of William and Mary's STEM Education Alliance.  She has also taught Introduction to Meteorology and Teaching Earth and Space Science at Florida State University. Jessica also has experience with federal and state educational policy as Program Director for the Florida Department of Education, working with Title I programs, after school services, and parental involvement.
