GLOBE's mission is to promote the teaching and learning of science; enhance environmental literacy and stewardship; and promote scientific discovery. Could you please describe in a few words what "stewardship" means to you and the students that have participated in the program.

That is a wonderful question! Many GLOBE students recently submitted their videos for the 2013 Earth Day Competition... Teachers, did your students enter the competition? What did your students discuss as they made their videos? What themes around stewardship came up?

In the same vein of stewardship, I am also curious about how teachers and students of the GLOBE program are becoming connected to their natural environment, and how your relationship with it has changed since you began doing the protocols?

Inspired to Action for the Environment?

How have you and your students been inspired to act in your local or global community in some way after becoming more aware of the current challenges that face our planet's life systems that include humans, and all other species?
