El Webinar se realizará el jueves 15 de mayo a las 06:00 pm Hora Argentina mediante la plataforma de Zoom. El evento se centrará en la investigación de la Dra. Yoseline Angel Lopez, científica del Centro de Vuelo Espacial Goddard de la NASA.

La Dra. Ángel es científica e ingeniera especializada en
teledetección y geociencias. Su trabajo se centra en el estudio de la
interacción entre la vegetación terrestre y el ambiente, mediante el
uso de sensores remotos a nivel terrestre, aéreo y satelital. Ha
trabajado en el monitoreo de la fenología vegetal, la productividad y
la salud de los ecosistemas, desde desiertos hasta selvas tropicales.
Además, cuenta con experiencia en proyectos interdisciplinarios de
SIG, planes de gestión ambiental y colaboraciones con Naciones Unidas
en Colombia. Es doctora en Ciencias Ambientales e Ingeniería por la
Universidad KAUST (Arabia Saudita), magíster en Geomática y licenciada
en Ingeniería Catastral y Geodesia.

Speaker: Dr. Yoseline Ángel, a scientist and engineer specialized in remote sensing and geosciences. Her work focuses on studying the interaction between terrestrial vegetation and the environment through the use of ground-based, aerial, and satellite remote sensing. She has worked on monitoring plant phenology, productivity, and ecosystem health in environments ranging from deserts to tropical forests. In addition, she has experience with interdisciplinary GIS projects, environmental management plans, and collaborations with the United Nations in Colombia. She holds a Ph.D. in Environmental Science and Engineering from KAUST (Saudi Arabia), an MSc in Geomatics, and a BS in Cadastral Engineering and Geodesy.
