Update to Secchi Disk Water Transparency Protocol and Data Entry
The Secchi Disk Water Transparency protocol has been updated to improve accuracy and consistency in Secchi Disk water transparency measurements. Changes to GLOBE Accounts, My Pages, and Training Planned for December 2025
This week, GLOBE will begin implementing the first of the upcoming changes to new GLOBE accounts, My Pages, and training requirements. These changes go into effect on 23 December. Changes to Organization creation and Trainer/Mentor Trainers will be implemented at a later date.

Virtual 2025 Regional Meeting of the Asia and Pacific GLOBE Community
On 5–7 May, over 34 participants, including 12 country coordinators, assistant country coordinators, scientists, and Working Group members from 12 Asia and Pacific countries, joined the virtual 2025 Asia and Pacific Regional Meeting. Under the theme “Global Impact: Advancing Earth System Science and STEM Education,” participants engaged in 3 days of interactive sessions designed to share progress, build capacity, and co create a roadmap for the next year.
