VSS: Reviewer Resources and Guidelines
GLOBE relies on volunteers to help review projects submitted to a Virtual Science Symposium. Research teams greatly appreciate receiving feedback to help them improve as researchers and life-long learners.
STEM professionals, including scientists, GLOBE alumni, educators, and graduate students, who wish to be a reviewer should review the below information. Click on the button below to sign up to be a reviewer for the 2026 Virtual Science Symposium.
Time Commitment
Reviewing VSS projects can take anywhere from one to several hours, dependent upon on how much time you can commit to the process. Each project typically takes around 20-30 minutes to review. You can also choose how many projects you'd like to review.
Note: To receive a certificate, reviewers must evaluate a minimum of three projects by the project review deadline.
Review Process
The VSS review period will take place from 11 February - 25 February 2026. It is the responsibility of each reviewer to manage their time accordingly during the review period. The review process consists of filling out a Google form with the scores and any feedback for the research team while adhering to the review/feedack form provided by the GLOBE Program.
