The General Directorate of Education in Al Dhahirah Governorate, Sultanate of Oman, recently convened the annual GLOBE Program Forum on 11 November 2025. The forum invited GLOBE students and educators, government officials, and representatives from private institutions around Oman that are concerned with the environment.

The forum included an opening ceremony during which participating schools presented their GLOBE Program achievements at both the national and international levels, and attendees watched a recorded greeting and message from Professor Becky Boger of the GLOBE Implementation Office. In addition, Salma Al-Zoubi, the regional coordinator of the program, reflected on the program in a virtual session.

To highlight the unified role of Omani collaborators in environmental conservation, participating institutions showcased their efforts to address the challenges facing the Omani environment through the exhibition. Furthermore, to emphasize the role of GLOBE students in implementing the program, students presented the program’s protocols as well as the most important research projects in which these protocols were applied, including a study titled "Using Plant Residues as Natural Plant Fertilizers" and another study examining the impact of varying water sources on animal fodder cultivation.
