Measure the density of the Arachis pintoi. Soil quality was evaluated by measuring nitrogen(N), phosphorus (P), and potassium (K) .Soil moisture content , soil salinity ,soil temperature and soil pH were also measured to assess the overall soil quality of the study area.
This study aims to investigate the effects of Arachis pintoi density on soil quality at Wat Khuan Si Nuan School, Moo 5, Na Khao Sia Subdistrict, Na Yong District, Trang Province. The research compares soil quality in sampling areas with varying densities of Arachis pintoi against adjacent control areas where the plant is absent. Physical and chemical soil properties, including temperature, moisture, pH, salinity, and macronutrients (N, P, K), were analyzed from December 5, 2025, to January 10, 2026. The results indicated that areas with high Arachis pintoi density had an average soil temperature of 27.94°C, moisture of 6.05, pH of 5.50, and salinity of 45.51 ppm. Nutrient levels were recorded at 7.62 mg/kg for Nitrogen (N), 8.57 mg/kg for Phosphorus (P), and 20.18 mg/kg for Potassium (K). In low-density areas, the values were 27.85°C (temp), 4.41 (moisture), 5.50 (pH), and 22.32 ppm (salinity), with N, P, and K levels at 2.53 mg/kg, 3.44 mg/kg, and 7.63 mg/kg, respectively. In contrast, the control areas without Arachis pintoi showed an average temperature of 28.53°C, moisture of 2.13, pH of 5.50, salinity of 10.94 ppm, and nutrient levels of 2.06 mg/kg (N), 1.75 mg/kg (P), and 3.76 mg/kg (K). Comparative analysis demonstrates that high-density Arachis pintoi areas possess significantly higher moisture and macronutrient (N, P, K) levels than both low-density and non-planted areas. These findings confirm that Arachis pintoi plays a vital role in soil quality improvement, particularly in enhancing soil fertility.
