Orchids are important economic ornamental plants widely cultivated in Thailand due to the hot, humid climate and year-round sunlight. Their growth and flowering depend on environmental factors, especially relative humidity, which affects water absorption and development of roots, leaves, and flowers. As epiphytic plants, orchids rely on atmospheric moisture. In Mueang Trang District, imbalance between temperature and humidity may cause water stress or promote disease.
