Topics: Getting involved with the GISN, thank you IVSS volunteers!

A big thank you...

to all GISN members who mentored students or judged projects for the 2018 IVSS! The students benefit so much from the support and feedback from scientists and other professionals. If you were able to get involved by mentoring students or helping judge projects, congratulations you have fulfilled your GISN requirement for the year! We hope that you will volunteer again next year!
Wondering how to get involved with GLOBE and GLOBE members?
If you were unable to get involved with the IVSS, there are still many ways to fulfill your requirement and plenty of time to do it. One way is to connect and collaborate with other GLOBE members, partners, and schools.

The GISN is a unique way to collaborate with STEM professionals from all over the world. Additionally, as a member, you have access to valuable data on the atmosphere, hydrosphere, biosphere, and pedosphere that has been collected globally. The GISN can be a great resource locally too. There may be other GLOBE members in your area you can meet or GLOBE schools and teachers you can partner with or visit. If you are curious about partners in your area, or if you want to look up partners in a particular part of the world, you can use the GLOBE Countries and Member's Map. With the map, you can identify partners based on their location or role, or you can use the " Find a Project Collaborator" tool to identify people based on their protocol use.

We recommend you start by using the map to identify who the Regional and Country Coordinators are in your area. These people are a valuable resource for you and can provide you with information on upcoming events you may want to participate in, such as regional science fairs or symposia.
