Manage Student Accounts

 

Quick Summary

  1. Go to your My Page
  2. Scroll down to the 'MY STUDENTS / TEAM MEMBERS section
  3. Click the 'Manage Student Accounts' drop down menu. There are 3 Student Account Management tools available.

Manage Existing Student Accounts

  1. When you select 'Manage Existing Student Accounts, all of your student accounts are listed.
  2. Click the 'three dots' to the right of an account to see the options. These are:
    • Change the screen name of a student account
    • Change the password of a student account
    • Delete the account
    • Note: If you are associated with multiple schools, you will also see the option to associate a student account with another school.

Reset Student Passwords

If you need to reset the password for multiple accounts (like at the beginning of a new school year where new students are being assigned to the accounts), you can reset some or all accounts by selectin 'Reset Student Passwords'

  1. You can reset accounts by a GLOBE team, if desired, by selecting the team on the drop-down menu.
  2. Select the accounts to reset or click the 'Select All' checkbox to reset all.
  3. On the next screen, new passwords are generated for each account. You can change the password, if desired.
  4. All new account information can be exported to a CSV file.

Student Account Access

You have the option of allowing your students to change their screen name and password. Click 'Student Account Access' to view the two options:

  • Enable - allow students to change their screen name and password
  • Disable (default) - do not allow students to change their screen name and password.  This is useful if, once your have distributed the screen names and passwords and are tracking the log-in information in a spreadsheet, you may want to 'lock' the ability for students to change their log-in credentials.
