Quick Summary
The Contacts portlet is located on the 'About & Contacts' page for Countries / Regions and on the home page for Partners. This allows you to select a member of your organization and identify them as a main contact.
Adding/Editing Contacts to the Contacts Portlet
- Log-in and navigate to your organization page
- Under the title 'Contacts', there's a button labelled 'Add Contact' (this is on the home page for Partners and About & Contacts for Countries and Regions). Click the button.
- On the next screen, if the person is a GLOBE Educator (or member) with an active GLOBE account, click 'Yes'. If the person doesn't have an account, click 'No'. If you select No, you will enter standard HTML text for the contact info. Note: this is typically for people like Government Point of Contacts that do not have a GLOBE account or they are not a member of your organization.
- If you selected 'Yes', you will see a list of GLOBE members associated with your organization. Select the desired member to add.
- Next, you can select the contact information you want to display for the member. Click the desired checkboxes.
- This information is being pulled from the user's profile and your organization's profile, so if the information needs to be updated, click the links 'Edit GLOBE Educator Profile' or 'Edit Org Profile at the bottom right. This will take you to the profile pages in the control panel to update any necessary information.
- Click the 'Add' button to make the person a main contact for your organization. The person will now display under Contacts.
- To edit a contact, click the edit icon to the right of the member's name.
Changing the Layout of the Contacts Portlet

make sure the option to change the layout is on. This is done by
toggling the option on or off by clicking the small eye icon icon at
the top of the page
.
- Refresh the page each time you click the icon for the change to take affect.
- When the eye icon is not crossed out, you will see boxes around the contacts. This means you can drag a contact to a different location.
- If the eye icon is crossed out, the boxes will not display, This is what a guest will see.
- You also have the option of making the layout a 1 or 2 column
layout by selecting the desired layout on the dropdown menu located
just below the Contacts title.
