Tonight during the ENSO Student Research Campaign Webinar #10 (at 8 pm EST) Dr. Assaf Anyamba will share the results of his research on the impact of these different patterns on the onset of Rift Valley fever in parts of Africa. As we know, these changing weather patterns alter the normal climatic conditions for regions around the world. In some places, this results in too much precipitation and warmer temperatures, and in others there are unusual periods of drought. Both of these can result in an increase in the number of mosquito-borne diseases.

Join us tonight and learn more about how and why this happens, as well as how to download and use the new GLOBE Observer Mosquito Habitat Mapper. We will post the archive of the webinar in the comments tomorrow, in case you want to be involved but miss the webinar.
