Globe Winter/Spring Update

The Bahamas Globe Team is actively scouting to revitalize the program. We have been visiting schools and sharing the information about Globe as well as repairing weather  enclosures that may have been damaged while seeking future locations at other schools for other ones. On the 19th and 20th of February, Globe was presented at a Junior and Senior school teacher's workshop with the view to assist in raising awareness about the program and the possibilities that lie ahead for teachers, students and the country as a whole.

In other news, after an absence of over two years,  The Bahamas is now reporting data again via Queen's College Primary School. It is anticipated that this is just the beginning of many more meaningful exploits of data collection and transmission that will great enhance the level of productivity of the Program in the country and the region.

Finally, ongoing training is expected to be a regular occurrence as to ensure the sustainability of the program and its anticipated growth. The Mosquito Habitat Mapper App is expected to be the next main training opportunity and is expected to be held from the 21st -22nd April 2020 in Nassau Bahamas with various other activities planned to coincide with Earth Day  as well.

As excitement grows about the program, we also expect the level of corporate partnership and sponsorship to increase as well.
