Hello! My name is Margaret Gregory. I am a science writer for the USDA Forest Service. I found my way into the Forest Service through the Resource Assistant Program ; before that, I taught physical science and chemistry at a public high school for three years.

I am hearing more and more conversations center around "bundling," particularly when it comes to NGSS ( Next Generation Science Standards ). Sometimes, in my GLOBE world, it is a conversation around bundling the protocols together. I know that some teachers already do this when they take students outside for field investigations. The hotel and dorm rooms are being reserved across the country for the United States Regional Student Research Symposia (SRS) . The agendas are roughed out. The speakers are confirming. Students are carrying out GLOBE protocols and analyzing data. Teachers are applying for funding to support team travel (due February 1st).
