Over 6,000 Photos Added to GLOBE Database During 2021 Mosquito Habitat Photo Challenge
The GLOBE Program would like to thank everyone who participated in the 2021 Mosquito Habitat Photo Challenge, which concluded on 25 August. During this month-long challenge, more than 6,200 new mosquito and land cover photos were added to the GLOBE database to support new research in artificial intelligence.  >>

The U.S. GLOBE Office is working in partnership with the USDA Forest Service to develop educational products highlighting connections between Natural Inquirer issues and GLOBE program protocols and activities. The project is looking for in-service and pre-service teachers familiar with either program to highlight the connections between Natural Inquirer issues and GLOBE resources in a blog or social media post.  >>

The GLOBE Program’s App, GLOBE Observer, Celebrates 5th Anniversary Today (01 September)!
Today, 01 September, marks the 5th anniversary of The GLOBE Program’s citizen science app: GLOBE Observer. Since 2016, GLOBE Observer has grown with more than 209,000 citizen scientists using the app to make observations. Together, they have submitted over 677,000 environmental observations – and, from their dedicated input, 19 professional publications have been written.  >>
