Swiss Students Share Their GLOBE Research Projects – and Their GLOBE Story – at U.S. Embassy in Switzerland
In July 2018, a group of five Swiss students and their teacher, Andreas Schmid, from Kantonsschule Olten traveled to Killarney, Ireland, for the 2018 GLOBE Learning Expedition (GLE) to present their scientific research projects to hundreds of other international students, teachers, and scientists.

Lexington School for the Deaf Students (New York, USA) Discover their Power to Contribute to Science in a Significant Way
In March 2018, GLOBE students at the Lexington School for the Deaf (located in East Elmhurst, New York, USA) began participating in the GLOBE U.S. Air Quality Student Research Campaign. Raising their focus to the sky, the high school students soon became adept at using GLOBE’s atmosphere protocols and Calitoo sun photometers to gather their elevated observations. Along the way, they also discovered their ability – as individuals and as a team – to make significant contributions to science.

During the GLOBE Europe and Eurasia Regional Meeting, which was held in Israel in November 2017, community members came together to learn, teach, and expand their horizons – and ended up coming away with a sense of community linked by common values.

On 01 August 2017, Deborah Klepp from the U.S. State Department visited Muhu Pohikool (Muhu Basic School) to learn how The GLOBE Program works in an Estonian school, and to learn from the students how their methods can be implemented in other schools around the world.

Training Strengthens Collaborative Bonds between GLOBE and Peace Corps
A GLOBE training conducted in April (24-28) at the “Addressing Environmental Shocks and Stresses Workshop” at Peace Corps Headquarters in Washington, D.C., focused on strengthening the already strong collaborative bonds between the two programs.
