GLOBE Mission EARTH partners with the NASA SEES Program for third year in a row
GLOBE Mission Earth (GME) participated in the SciAct funded by STEM Enhancement in Earth and Space Sciences(SEES) Project at the University of Texas again this summer with the University of Toledo (GME-UT) hosting two groups of students participating in the NASA SEES Summer Program. This is the third consecutive year GME-UT has worked with SEES students. Dr. Kevin Czajkowski and Sara Mierzwiak guided both groups in their work. The students studying the urban heat island effect were led by Olawale Oluwafemi (Femi) and assisted by Tanzia Ahmed and those studying air quality were led by Dr. Yitong Jiang assisted by Dr. Farrokh Namjooyan.
During this 6-week program, students conducted research on the topic of their choice and met virtually three times a week to complete their projects. Here is a list of the student research projects for you to review on the GME YouTube Channel.
