BHNHS First Teacher/ Student Training


Batasan Hills National High School

Three (3) teachers and Eight (8) research students from the STEM/ STE program of BHNHS attended the GLOBE Orientation Program, and Teacher/ Student Training on GLOBE Protocols. The training seminar was conducted by Ms. Joan Bilasano Callope, a certified Globe Master Trainer for Hydrosphere and Mosquito Protocols.

Data on Hydrosphere, Atmosphere and Pedosphere were collected and studied in relation to students' research topics in school. The same cohort of student and their advisers are expected to join the Taiwan Science Fair on 19-23 July 2018, Taichong, Taiwan, ROC. The field training was conducted at the Ninoy Aquino Parks and Wildlife in Quezon City. 

The Philippine Science High School System provided the materials, equipment (which was donated by the GLOBE AP-Office) and the venue for the GLOBE orientation. 

The participants were also trained on the Data Entry and Data Visualization. BHNHS is gearing up for more teacher/ student training, and its GLOBE Mosquito Protocol training sometime in September 2018. For more details, please contact Joan B.
