We know that the data that we regularly send to the GLOBE database are used in scientific research. We also use them for our own research projects, although they are being worked on by students that haven’t finished formal education, these projects give us answers to a lot of interesting questions. We are students meteorological technicians and the one thing that was interesting to us was that can we with the help of GLOBE data say something about the future state of the atmosphere that is can we predict the weather for a certain synoptic situation in a short period of time for a specific location. Specifically, we are most interested in situations when the weather situations are changing, so that leads to worsening weather. That was the main reason why we chose to watch atmospheric fronts. In this project we will observe air temperature, relative humidity of air, air pressure and precipitation amount upon the arrival and passing of the cold front in Karlovac. By change of these meteorological elements we will try to establish certain connections with the arrival of the cold and warm front and so on that way we will try to predict the arrival of the same fronts on a certain area.
