A Study of Soil Properties Affecting the Yield of Bang Chang Shallots in Ban Khae, Fa Huan Sub-district, Kho Wang District, Yasothon Province. The objective of this research was to investigate the soil properties that influence the yield of Bang Chang shallots. Soil samples were collected at a depth of 0–15 centimeters from the large-scale shallot farming areas of farmers in Ban Khae. The analyzed parameters included Soil Organic Matter (SOM), Phosphorus (P), Potassium (K), temperature (ºC), soil acidity-alkalinity (pH), and soil moisture content (%).
The results of the study revealed that Soil Organic Matter (SOM) ranged between 1.04% and 2.43%. Available phosphorus (P) was found to be between 12 and 91 mg/kg, and available potassium (K) ranged from 20 to 163 mg/kg. Furthermore, variations were observed in temperature, pH levels, and soil moisture content, as follows: the temperature ranged from 22.6 to 30 ºC, the soil pH was between 5.8 and 6.4, and the soil moisture content was recorded between 3.85% and 4.61%.
