GLOBE is proud to partner and interact with a community of teachers, students, scientists and organizations from around the world through hands-on investigation and engagement with Earth.
When you join GLOBE, you connect with over 1.5 million students and thousands of trained teachers from more than 110 countries who are dedicated to improving their understanding of Earth.
Benefits of Joining
There are many benefits to joining GLOBE, including connecting with teachers, students, scientists, and community members around the world focusing on understanding the Earth as a system.
Become a GLOBE Teacher
Join thousands of GLOBE teachers around the world to receive professional development opportunities on data collection techniques following GLOBE protocols and the implementation of GLOBE pedagogical models for inquiry-based research to help students answer scientific research questions. Once teachers have attended a GLOBE training event, they are provided with the knowledge and tools to implement GLOBE protocols and learning activities in a classroom setting, work with their students to collect environmental data observations, report these observations to the GLOBE website, and access the database to search for data from around the world and produce maps and time series plots.
Become a GLOBE Partner
GLOBE Partners (Country Coordinators and U.S. Partners) facilitate the implementation of GLOBE in their country or within a service area of their country. Partners recruit GLOBE schools, as well as provide training opportunities and mentoring activities for GLOBE teachers to promote the teaching and learning of science, enhance environmental literacy and stewardship, and promote scientific discovery.
Become a GLOBE Scientist
Being a part of the GLOBE International Scientists' Network (GISN) connects scientists with an international network of people who work with GLOBE students around the world conducting science. The purpose of the network is to connect students, teachers and scientists and promote collaborations that are focused on understanding the Earth as a system.
Register as an Alumnus
GLOBE Alumni assist with local implementation of the Program in schools and their communities. Alumni work directly with the GLOBE Country Coordinator in their country or U.S. Partners in their state, as well as with teachers, students and scientists who want to collaborate with schools in their local area.
