Oman students participated in an activity of data collection, using the GLOBE Surface Temperature Protocol to see if the color of the road in front of their school would affect the temperature of and around that road. Their findings sparked discussions with their local community about implementing beneficial changes to the area.  >>

An educator and trainer from GLOBE Argentina created El Jacarandá de la Abuela Aranda (Grandma Aranda’s Jacaranda), a book that combines art, science, and emotion to connect with students and help them participate in the study of trees.  >>

GLOBE students and educators in Mombasa, Kenya won grant funding from YLACES to support trainings and the purchase of materials and equipment that provides students with practical experience in environmental monitoring. With the support of trained educators, students had the opportunity to collect data on air and surface temperatures, and humidity levels.  >>

GLOBE Jordan organized a workshop aimed to train parents on the Clouds Protocol using the GLOBE Observer app. This collaborative learning experience enabled parents to understand and participate alongside their children in future GLOBE program activities.  >>

Students from more than 100 schools across Ireland, Malta, Ukraine, Slovenia, and Croatia participated in a month-long Rainfall and Flooding Campaign using GLOBE’s Precipitation (Rain Depth) Protocol.  >>

In the fall of 2024, more than 300 K–5 students at Pearl Creek Elementary in Fairbanks, Alaska, collected over 660 green-down measurements for the North American Phenology Campaign. In the past 5 years, Pearl Creek Elementary has collected more than 1,300 green-down measurements through a partnership with GLOBE Alaska and the University of Alaska’s International Arctic Research Center (IARC).   >>

A student shares her experience representing her school's research group during the October 2024 GLOBE Latin America and Caribbean (LAC) Regional Meeting and presenting their work in gathering data on the impacts that mangrove logging has had on the Parque Espíritu del Manglar.  >>

The Italian school Istituto Comprensivo Statale E. De Amicis – Marcallo con Casone and the Croatian school Dubovac Primary School, Karlovac, both members of the GLOBE Program, have decided to start a cooperative relationship during the 2024–25 school year.   >>

The Estonian GLOBE community has developed a board game to promote the GLOBE Program and the world of research through various science questions. Students from 29 Estonian schools participated in creating the game.  >>

The 18th Annual GLOBE Project Exhibition Competition, where senior secondary students from Federal Unity Colleges throughout Nigeria showcased innovative climate solutions, was held 16–18 January 2025. Seventeen schools with a total of 72 participants (teachers and students) made it to the grand finale. Find out who won.  >>
