Workshop Equips French-Speaking GLOBE Educators and Students for Climate and Air Quality Research
In September 2009, Danielle DeStaerke, Country Coordinator of France, led the annual GLOBE CALIPSO workshop in Cayenne, French Guiana. Approximately 30 teachers from France and French Guiana attended this event to present GLOBE student projects completed throughout the school year and discuss future plans for implementation of GLOBE.  >>

Celebration of GLOBE Implementation in Switzerland
Switzerland first joined the GLOBE program on Earth Day, 22 April 1998, and currently, 133 Swiss schools contribute a massive amount of measurements to the GLOBE database and present their research findings to audiences consisting of fellow students, school alumni, and even local dignitaries. On Friday, 30 October 2009, GLOBE Switzerland recognized the constitutional efforts of twenty six members of the GLOBE Swiss Team with an official association ceremony at the University of Berne.  >>

12 Years of GLOBE Games in the Czech Republic
Every year for the past 12 years, TEREZA has hosted the GLOBE Games in the Czech Republic, bringing together environmentally concerned students, teachers, scientists and special guests from the Czech Republic and neighboring countries. The object of the GLOBE Games is to raise environmental awareness among GLOBE students through data collection and research, to initiate collaborations among schools throughout the region, to introduce participants to special environmental challenges involving many of the GLOBE protocols, and to encourage teambuilding as a vital part of the educational experience.  >>

New Face of the National GLOBE GAMES in the Czech Republic
The TEREZA Association is a non-profit, non-governmental organization in the Czech Republic. TEREZA's mission is to encourage and support cooperation and active community participation in renewal and protection of a healthy environment, and thus contribute to the overall development of civic society. Founded in 1979, the organization's original focus was to preserve natural areas of Prague. Ten years later, TEREZA expanded its reach to include the development of environmental education in the Czech Republic, and shortly thereafter, opened the gates to its current headquarters in the heart of Prague.  >>
