Brian Campbell Receives NASA Wallops Distinguished Public Service Award for NASA Contractors
On 13 December 2024, Brian Campbell, NASA senior earth science
specialist and subject matter expert (SME) and GLOBE contributor,
received the 2024 NASA Wallops Distinguished Public Service Award for
NASA contractors. According to NASA, this award is for a “contractor
employee who, by distinguished service, ability, or vision, has
personally contributed to the advancement of NASA Goddard Space Flight
Center’s Wallops Flight Facility. This award is the highest award for
a contract employee bestowed at Wallops. Specifically, the citation
Brian received was "For distinguished Goddard Space Flight Center
and Wallops Flight Facility public service as a NASA contractor for
over two decades, inspiring students, educators, citizen scientists,
researchers, and the public!"
Brian noted, “I was shocked and humbled to receive this award from the NASA Wallops Flight Facility director, David Pierce, and Goddard Space Flight Center Leadership.”
