19th GLOBE Annual Partner Meeting

The GLOBE Annual Partner Meeting 2015 will take place in Los Angeles, California!  Reserve the dates for what promises to be the most exciting GLOBE gathering of 2015.

REGISTRATION FEES:

Vary from $190 to $225 depending on your registration type (students, teachers with students, chaperones with students - $190.  All others $225).  Registration fees include the following:
Sunday 19 July - Opening Reception
Monday 20 July - Breaks, Lunch, Poster Session Reception (Breakfast  included in hotel room rate)
Tuesday 21 July - Breaks, Lunch (Breakfast included in hotel room rate.  Dinner ON YOUR OWN.)
Wednesday 22 July - Breaks, Lunch (Breakfast included in hotel room rate.  Dinner ON YOUR OWN.)
Thursday 23 July - Breaks, Lunch, Closing Banquet (Breakfast included in hotel room rate)
Friday 24 July - Breaks, Lunch (Breakfast included in hotel room rate.  Meeting adjourns early afternoon.)

A limited number of rooms have been reserved at this hotel.  Transportation to the conference hotel is available free of charge from the Garland Hotel Trolly which runs approximately every 30 minutes from The Garland Hotel to Universal Studios Hollywood. The Hilton (conference hotel) is a short walk from there.  

Student Research Experience:

Student Researchers (K-12 Student attending with a Teacher), Teacher (attending with students), Chaperones (attending with students)  PLEASE NOTE:

The registration fee of $190 includes an overnight research experience at one of two (or three) locations.  On Tuesday 21 July, you will depart for the Student Research Experience.  You will collect data on Tuesday afternoon and you will spend the night at that location.  You will continue collecting data on Wednesday 22 July. During the afternoon of Wednesday 22 July you will be transported back to the conference hotel.  Student Researchers will present their research on Thursday 23 July at the GLOBE Annual Partner Meeting.  

To participate in the Student Research Experience, you will check out of the hotel on Tuesday and check back in on Wednesday for the remainder of the week.  We will arrange for your luggage to be held in a secure location. You will need to pack an overnight bag for the research experience Tuesday 21 July.

Space is extremely limited on these excursions.  Registration deadline for the Student Experience is 1 June  HAS BEEN EXTENDED TO 10 JUNE with a final payment due date of 19 June.   Once you have reserved a space, if a cancellation is necessary, $45 of your $190 registration will not be refunded.  After 3 July, no refund will be possible. Additional information is available here.  

3rd Student Research Exhibition:

The 3rd Student Research Exhibition will take place during the poster session of the GLOBE Annual Partner Meeting on Monday, 20 July from 6:30 to 9:00 pm. If you will be presenting a poster or PowerPoint during this time, please provide the following information:

1.  GLOBE School Name
2.  Presentation Title
3.  Presentation Abstract (short, 100-word description, in English)
4.  Student name(s)
5.  Teacher name(s)
6.  Indicate whether your presentation is in poster form or PowerPoint form*

Please provide this information via email to Katy Lackey by Monday 10 June to be considered for inclusion in the full program and to reserve presentation space (poster or table).

*Students presenting a poster will be provided a 4' X 8' (122 cm X 244 cm) poster board surface and push pins.  Students presenting a PowerPoint presentation will be provided a table and one power strip.
