WEBINAR | The State of Trees – Presenting and Archiving Your Forest and Land Cover Observations
Event Time: 6:00 pm UTC - 7:00 pm UTC
Location: Online
Join us as we first hear from students from the OŠ Šime Budinića school in Croatia as they present their GLOBE 2026 Virtual Science Symposium (VSS) research project, “Monitoring environmental changes through satellite imagery.” This research project encompasses much of the ideas, concepts, and methods the campaign has been highlighting and promoting since the beginning. Following the featured presentation, we will have a discussion on the importance of archiving your observations for future research. The webinar will end with a discussion by Professor Peder Nelson about his recent January 2026 presentation, “Integrating GLOBE Observer Tree and Land Cover Data with NASA Earth Observations for Environmental Monitoring,” as part of the ForestSat Association’s Pre-Conference Virtual Workshop initiative, supporting the upcoming May 2026 ForestSat 2026 Conference.
