Updates Regarding Website and Data Entry Issues
May 29, 2026
- Human Verification: Due to a series of automated bots crawling and causing issues on GLOBE.gov, the Digital Information System (DIS) team that maintains the website has implemented “Captchas”– tests to ensure that users are a person and not a bot. You may be asked to identify photos of bags, cars, bikes, bridges, etc. to access certain areas of the website.
- Map Access on GLOBE.gov: Pages with maps (such as school or community pages) may give you a message that you do not have the permission to view the page. To access these pages, simply log in with your username and password.
- GLOBE Observer Data Entry: If you had issues with entering data through the GLOBE Observer app, please try logging out and logging back in to see if it fixes the problem. Please note that if you log out and log back in to the GLOBE Observer app, you will lose data from any observation in progress. If you are still having issues, contact help@nasaglobe.org.
We are working to resolve these issues. Thank you for your patience.
