PSHS CALABARZON GLOBE students present work in the 26th SPVM National Physics Conference

Philippine Science High School Calabarzon Campus GLOBE Students Presented at a National Physics Conference

A research by PSHS CALABARZON scholars was presented in the recently concluded 26th Samahang Pisika ng Visayas at Mindanao (SPVM) National Physics Conference which was held at the University of Santo Tomas in Manila from October 17-19.

Grade 12 scholars Samantha Grace Andan and Jacob Keane Lontoc presented their work in the poster session entitled “pH and dissolved oxygen assessment of Calumpang River System in Batangas City, Philippines”. They used GLOBE Hydrosphere Protocols and also recorded Cloud Observations using the GLOBE Observer App during the conduct of their research. This output was done together with Cyann Antonnete Ayeras, a Grade 9 PSHS scholar now studying at PSHS Main Campus and a former GLOBE Vlogger, and GLOBE teachers Mr. Dexter Vile Laurden and Mr. Francis Murillo Emralino.

The team is looking forward to submitting a student research for the 2025 edition of IVSS.
