GLOBE Jordan Hosts Interactive Student Activities and Competitions

Under the umbrella of continuity, innovation, and sustainable development, the GLOBE Program in Jordan organized a collaborative summer initiative involving leading excellence schools.
The event was hosted from 20 to 22 July 2025 and included participants from:
- King Abdullah II School for Excellence – Zarqa
- King Abdullah II School for Excellence – Irbid
- Shouf International Schools
Key components of the event included:
- The launch of GLOBE Summer Competitions to deepen engagement with GLOBE protocols
- Development and implementation of GLOBE-themed educational games to foster experiential learning
- Participation of scientists from Zarqa University, offering students real-world scientific insights and mentorship
- Interactive observation-based activities inspired by core GLOBE investigations.
The activity emphasized peer collaboration, scientific discovery, and innovation in learning design. The outcomes include:
- Enhanced student enthusiasm for environmental exploration
- Foundations for an academic-year plan to expand GLOBE activities
- Strengthened partnership between schools, academia, and the national coordination office
This initiative reaffirmed Jordan's commitment to advancing the GLOBE Program and aligning with regional and global environmental education goals.
