Continue to build upon the datasets your students have already collected and encourage them to develop research projects based on the data GLOBE students have collected worldwide and can be accessed in the GLOBE database. Earn Badges for Participation in SCRC
Phase Two of the Student Climate Research Campaign focuses on conducting climate science research projects using GLOBE data and other long-term datasets. There are new components to Phase Two that will make participation in the campaign even more appealing to your students. Now they can earn badges for their participation in SCRC.

Learn More About Climate Science through Climate Foundations
The Student Climate Research Campaign (SCRC) Climate Foundations introduces students to basic climate science and identifies opportunities for teachers to participate in professional development focused on climate science. Announcing Phase 2 of the Student Climate Research Campaign
Beginning today, 10 September 2012, GLOBE embarks on Phase Two of SCRC. Phase Two focuses on conducting climate science research using GLOBE data and other long-term datasets. This is the main thrust of SCRC Phase Two.

GLOBE Community Influences Technical Modifications
The GLOBE Program Office (GPO) technical team continues to work in a collaborative fashion with our partner, Raytheon as we add to the growing list of protocols available in the new visualization tool on the GLOBE website. Stay tuned as more features, functionality and useful tools come online.

The 4th annual GLOBE Africa and Seasons and Biomes Xpedition is just around the corner. In a matter of weeks, GLOBE students, teachers and scientists will make another epic trek to the summit of the highest peak in Africa.

Great Global Investigation of Climate IOP 1-30 September
The next Great Global Investigation of Climate (GGIC) takes place throughout the month of September. Take your students outdoors to collect precipitation measurements as well as air and soil temperature data. Then, enter the data in the GLOBE database and learn how to classify local weather and climate.
