March/April/May 2020   What is NASA GLOBE Clouds?  Cloud observations through The GLOBE Program are led by the  NASA  GLOBE Clouds Team at NASA Langley Research Center in Hampton, VA. Every sky and cloud observation submitted through GLOBE Clouds, including through the GLOBE Observer app, is analyzed by the team to determine if it matches satellite data. If there is a match, a personalized NASA email is sent to you comparing your observations with satellites. All around the world, NASA's Global Precipitation Measurement mission is collected data on how much precipitation is falling to Earth.  NASA has just released its newest and most comprehensive estimate of rain and snow covering nearly 20 years. I am pleased to announce that the Institute for Earth Observation’s at Palmyra Cove’s Innovation Lab is developing a virtual reality experience called Lunar Learning Expeditions that will allow visitors to explore the lunar surface. The first release models the Apollo 11 moon landing site where visitors can perform some of the early experiments as part of the Early Apollo Scientific Experiments Package (EASEP).
