Regional 2022 U.S. Student Research Symposia Cancelled – Proposals for Local, In-Person Events Being Accepted
After a discussion with the sponsors regarding the current state of COVID-19, and looking through the feedback from teachers who normally attend the events, the U.S. GLOBE Office has made the difficult decision to cancel the in-person regional 2022 SRS.

The March Urban Heat Island Effect (UHIE)-Surface Temperature Intensive Observation Period (IOP) began on Tuesday, 01 March, and will take place throughout the month.

U.S. Educators/Partners/Schools: Funding Available for Local, In-person, GLOBE U.S. Student Research Symposia (SRS) -- Proposal Deadline 25 February
This spring, with support from NASA (Grant No. 80NSSC18K0135) and YLACES (Youth Learning as Citizen Environmental Scientists), the U.S. GLOBE Office will be supporting in-person local events. Proposal Deadline: 25 February (rolling submissions thereafter)

The 2022 GLOBE Annual Meeting Will Be Virtual
The 2022 GLOBE Annual Meeting will be a virtual meeting. “Every January, we begin the new year by planning for our annual meeting, the event that brings us together,” GLOBE Implementation Office (GIO) Director Dr. Tony Murphy said. “It is clear, from many discussions, that there is nothing everyone would like more than to meet in person; however, the overarching concern for everyone’s health and safety has led us to conclude that the annual meeting must be virtual again this year”
