WEBINAR | The State of Trees - Celebrating Earth Day 2026 with Student Research Presentations: GLOBE Brazil sees the Cooling Power of Trees and Importance for Caring and Preserving Historic and Native Trees

Come join us the day before Earth Day 2026 (April 22) and celebrate with some great student research presentations from GLOBE Brazil. The featured presentations are:

• “Green Thermometer: Measuring the Cooling Power of Trees” - Instituto Estadual de Educação Profissional, Tecnologia e Inovação do Rio Grande do Norte - IERN- Brazil
• "Assessment for the care and preservation of historic and native trees. GLOBE VSS 2026" - Brazil GLOBE v-School - Brazil

During the webinar, the campaign team will also discuss the "2026 One-Week Earth Day Week Intensive Observation Period (IOP) for Tree Height and Land Cover Observations" that focuses on taking many GLOBE tree height and land cover observations during a 7-Day period, the week in which Earth Day 2026 falls. We will also highlight how to wrap up and archive data and research projects for future access.
