GLOBE Mission EARTH and Earth Heart Farms presentation to Ottawa National Wildlife Refuge group, January 2024
GLOBE Mission EARTH partnered with Earth Heart Farms steward Vicki Rae Harder-Thorne to give a presentation about their collaborative effort to the Friends of Ottawa National Wildlife Refuge in January 2024. Teachers in NW Ohio are invited to apply by April 30th for year 3 of the Earth Heart Farm (EHF) outdoor STEAM enhancement program in Ottawa County. Boston University Green Down observations
The Boston University GLOBE Mission EARTH team currently has three different classrooms in Providence, RI making Green Down observations. The partner schools include William D'Abate Elementary, and Spaziano Elementary. The students are practicing their observations (descriptors without explanations) and making predictions about what will happen next. All students participating are in dual language (Eng. and Sp.) programs.  >>

NASA SEES students continue their research with the GME team
During the pandemic, we have collaborated with the NASA STEM Enhancement for Earth Science (SEES) high school internship program hosted by the University of Texas and started the urban heat island group and Air Quality Initiative group to engage high school students in scientific studies. We hosted the program virtually. We had 6 urban heat island students in 2021, and around 20 students in urban heat island and air quality groups in the following two years.   >>

This celestial spectacle, visible in parts of the United States, Mexico, and several countries in South and Central America, captivated millions of people across the Western Hemisphere. But it wasn't just stargazers who marveled at this cosmic event; scientists and researchers seized this unique opportunity to collect crucial data about the eclipse's effects on the atmosphere.  >>

Field days at Earth Heart Farm in Fall 2023
The Earth Heart Farm fall field days this year were just finished. Ninety-five students from Margaretta Middle School, 162 students from Toledo Early College, 11 students from Ottawa Hills High School, and 10 students from Perkins High School,  participated on Oct. 3 and Oct. 5. Around 20 Volunteers from US wildlife and fish service and other organizations joined with GME team.   >>
