GLOBE Bahrain Welcomes Students to Summer Science Enrichment Club
As part of its commitment to nurturing scientific talent and environmental stewardship, the GLOBE Program in Bahrain, in collaboration with the Ministry of Education and the Center for Gifted Students, launched a Summer Science Club targeting gifted students in the upper elementary and lower secondary levels.
The program, held 10–15 July 2025, welcomed 35 students and 12 teachers. The workshops focused on topics in environmental science and GLOBE protocols, with participation from university scientists, community stakeholders, and officials from the Ministry of Education.
Activities included:
- Interactive workshops on GLOBE protocols.
- Group competitions encouraging scientific thinking and collaborative investigation.
- A strategic planning session to enhance year-round GLOBE activities in schools.
- A regional webinar component, shared with the NENA region, ensuring wider dissemination of learning and results.
This initiative marks a step forward in expanding the role of GLOBE in developing scientific skills and environmental awareness among Bahrain's young learners.
