WEBINAR | 30 Years of GLOBE: 30 Years of GLOBE Data Campaign Introduction
Join us to meet the GIO Science Lead, Dr. Charles Vörösmarty, who will introduce the 2024-2025 data campaign, 30 Years of GLOBE. He will discuss how changes in the Earth system over time can be detected by looking at data time series. Dr. Vörösmarty will provide examples from his work with water and the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (UN SDGs).

WEBINAR | The State of Trees – August 2024. Continuing to Make Sense of the Land-Cover and Tree-Height Observations
Join us on 20 August at 1:00 pm ET (17:00 UTC) as we discuss the importance of taking GLOBE ground-based land-cover and tree-height observations and making comparisons to the space-based NASA satellite data. We will showcase, and reinforce, the importance and ease of data analysis using online data tools such as NASA Worldview, Land Cover Viewer, and Open Altimetry.

The State of Trees – July 2024. Live from the 2024 GLOBE Annual Meeting: What does it mean to satellite match tree height and land cover?
Join us live from the 2024 GLOBE Annual Meeting in Fredonia, New York, U.S.A., as we present and discuss the importance of matching space-based satellite tree height and land cover data, from missions like ICESat-2, GEDI, and Landsat, to the ground-based GLOBE tree height and land cover observations. The Trees Around the GLOBE Student Research Campaign team will revisit online tools like Open Altimetry, NASA Worldview, Google Earth Engine, and more.
