Adding NASA’s PACE Satellite Data to GLOBE Satellite Matching Emails!
PACE (Plankton, Aerosol, Cloud and ocean Ecosystem), one of NASA’s newest Earth-observing missions, captures a daily view of the whole planet, delivering data frequently enough for scientists to follow fast-changing conditions in the atmosphere and ocean, from cloud development and aerosol transport to shifts in microscopic marine life over time.
The GLOBE Clouds team is excited to announce that, starting in August, your Clouds observations can be matched with PACE satellite data when they are made within 15 minutes of a PACE satellite passing overhead. This is in addition to the satellite comparisons already available.
With the addition of PACE, the GLOBE Clouds team has created a new satellite table design for satellite matching emails. The top of the table now includes the images taken by satellites centered on your location, and if you click on the small thumbnail image, it will show you the enlarged image.
