Stars and STEM Stories
GLOBE Star of Croatia
In April 1998, GLOBE students in Croatia gathered in Zagreb to share their research with one another and to report on their GLOBE activities to their nation's President. Three students and a teacher from each of Croatia's 37 active GLOBE schools participated in the special event.
The students and teachers practiced conducting the GLOBE protocols and competed with one another to see who could construct the most accurate pixel. Croatia's GLOBE Country Coordinator, Diana Garasic declared the conference a great success!
For the conference, GLOBE Croatia produced a special poster and a CD-Rom. Students from the OS Vladimira Nazaora school in Virovitica also produced a newsletter with a report on implementation of GLOBE in Croatia, an article about El Niqo, and an interview with GLOBE atmospheric scientist Dr. Susan Postawko.
