Rogne skole, Rogne, Norway

GLOBE students at the Rogne Skole in Norway are working hard to learn more about the local and global environment, and to share their knowledge with the entire community!

In addition to regularly taking and reporting GLOBE measurements, students at Rogne Skole are writing a monthly weather column that is published in their local newspaper. The column features data from their school and includes comparisons with data from GLOBE schools around the world. In September 1998, for example, Rogne Skole compared atmospheric temperatures in Norway, Sweden, and Namibia.

The GLOBE students placed a special Norwegian GLOBE marker on a stone in their schoolyard, highlighting their participation in the Program. Congratulations to these students for helping GLOBE meet its goal of expanding the environmental awareness of all individuals.
