Primera Feria de Ciencias Virtual de Latinoamérica y el Caribe
El jueves 27 y viernes 28 de mayo se llevó a cabo la primera Feria de Ciencias Virtual de la región de Latinoamérica y el Caribe. Durante las dos jornadas del evento estudiantes y maestros de Argentina, Brasil, Colombia, Perú y Uruguay presentaron los trabajos de investigación que realizaron para el IVSS (International Virtual Science Symposium) del 2020.
Uno de los trabajos presentados fue "Los cambios que producen las estaciones en árboles y arbustos de Pujato (Arg.).", el ganador de la región. Este fue realizado por la maestra GLOBE Claudia Romagnoli y sus alumnos de la Escuela Primaria Particular Incorporada N°1345 Nuestra Señora del Carmen, Pujato, Argentina.
En la feria se dio un rico intercambio de preguntas, ideas y propuestas de colaboración entre escuelas de distintos países. Es admirable el esfuerzo que la comunidad ha realizado a lo largo de este año, yendo más allá de las dificultades que la pandemia del COVID-19 impuso. Juan F. Restrepo, Maestro GLOBE de Colombia, tomó un momento para reconocer la resiliencia "que como docentes y estudiantes hemos tenido al no dejarnos estar y continuar haciendo ciencia desde nuestras casas".
Se trató de un evento enriquecedor tanto para presentadores como el público general. Los maestros lo caracterizaron como "inspirador" para los trabajos que vendrán. Mariana Savino, Coordinadora de la Oficina Regional de Latinoamérica y el Caribe, afirmó: "es algo que intentaremos reproducir todos los años para que aquellos estudiantes que trabajan y presentan sus proyectos de investigación del IVSS tengan la oportunidad de compartirlo con sus compañeros y todos sus pares de la región".

On Thursday, May 27 and Friday, May 28, the first Virtual Science Fair in the Latin American and Caribbean Region was held. During the two days of the event students and teachers from Argentina, Brazil, Colombia, Peru and Uruguay presented the research they carried out for the IVSS (International Virtual Science Symposium) of 2020.
One of the papers presented was "The changes that the seasons produce in trees and shrubs of Pujato (Arg.)", the winner of the region. The research was carried out by GLOBE teacher Claudia Romagnoli and her students from the Elementary School Incorporated No. 1345 Nuestra Señora del Carmen, Pujato, Argentina.
At the fair there was a rich exchange of questions, ideas and proposals for collaboration between schools from different countries. The effort that the community has made throughout this year is admirable, going beyond the difficulties that the COVID-19 pandemic imposed. Juan F. Restrepo, GLOBE Teacher from Colombia, took a moment to recognize the resilience "that as teachers and students we have had by not letting ourselves be and continuing to do science from our homes."
It was an enriching event for both presenters and the general public. Teachers characterized him as "inspiring" for jobs to come. Mariana Savino, Coordinator of the Regional Office for Latin America and the Caribbean, stated: "It is something that we will try to reproduce every year so that those students who work and present their IVSS research projects have the opportunity to share it with their colleagues and all their peers in the region ".
